If you have any questions about installation, feel free to reach out or read over our insert installation instructions.
Before installation spray the inserts with a de-greaser and wipe clean. Any grease or oil left on the inserts from the machining process could interfere with the epoxy. Never use Loc-Tite with inserts, only use Vibra-Tite offered here.

5 These things are great
Posted by John S. on 27th Aug 2020
I have mounted telemark bindings on many skis using binding freedom inserts. Never a problem and I am able to move bindings around from ski to ski if needed. Not as convenient as having base plates but a good second choice.

4 Solid Mount with Versatility!
Posted by Hiram on 30th Apr 2020
This is a stellar product. Fast and helpful service. I've installed hundreds. These do two important things for me as a tele-smelly pinhead. First - It makes a really strong mount to anchor tele bindings, which produce much higher pull-out forces on screws than alpine or AT bindings. The machine screws are obviously strong, but the actual benefit is in the larger outside diameter of the insert, which distributes pullout forces over a greater surface area inside the ski, and hence reduces pullout pressure on the ski core. Second - I like to change bindings between skis. It confounds me that binding and ski manufacturers don't take the obvious step to use a standardized hole pattern (like our snowboard cousins). That would make everything stronger and more functional...Wishful thinking. My only complaint is that the inserts and installation tools would benefit from beefier driver notches. The teenie-tiny tabs and soft stainless steel on the installation tool are very vulnerable to slipping/bending/stripping. That doesn't effect quality once they're installed, but makes it easy to wreck your installation tool.

5 Always works great!

Have used these now for many ski mounts. Always consistent quality and quick shipping. I have used other inserts before, but prefer BF as my go to.

5 great for super light skis, tap carefully
Posted by Chris on 22nd Jan 2020
Super light skis like the Voile Hypervector benefit from these stainless inserts firmly epoxy'd in place so that the binding's screws are in steel rather than wood. Thread the holes for the inserts into the light wood core very carefully. I tore one hole out and had to fill with epoxy, cure and re-drill. That fix seems to have made the insert even stronger, but was too tedious to recommend!.

5 PERFECT SYSTEM

Major players in the ski industry should adopt this system so you can swap a pair of bindings between multiple skis. Definitely more bomber connection then tradition screws and works great!

I have used these inserts for about half a season. The installation went well, and I've been able to switch bindings from ski to ski with no problems.

5 They work
Posted by Unknown on 28th Feb 2019
Strong and easy to install. I've used them on several skis over 5-6 years, including to repair binding rip outs (I'm rather hard on gear). I've never had a failure with BF inserts, and swapping bindings is super quick. I'd especially recommend them for tele skiers who have experienced mounting failures in the past.

5 Work well
Posted by Colby on 13th Jan 2019
I have used these inserts on a bunch of different skis (as well as for different heel pieces for different sized boots) and never had an issue. They have worked flawlessly and are such a great solution for swapping bindings. The notch for at the top has been really handy for installation and removal.
