Product Overview

Threaded inserts for skis - For use with any of our flat head or low head screws.  The inserts require a drill bit depth of 9.5mm or 9mm minimum.  Binding Freedom inserts are not compatible with standard alpine mounting screws.

Sold in 100 Pack

If you have any questions about installation, feel free to reach out or read over our insert installation instructions.

Before installation spray the inserts with a de-greaser and wipe clean.  Any grease or oil left on the inserts from the machining process could interfere with the epoxy.  Never use Loc-Tite with inserts, only use Vibra-Tite offered here.

These inserts work well and are easy to use. They have saved a couple pair of skis for me and allow for relatively quick binding changes. Thanks.

    They really work...

Posted by Brent Coe on 19th Oct 2020

I have installed over 2000 of these inserts myself now, with a 100% success rate. Quality control seems very high. For those that switch bindings between different skis, those who want to mount classic alpine bindings and a different touring binding on the same ski, or those going on an expedition where being able to rapidly and securely replace a binding unit is key, these inserts are excellent. The notch machined into the top of each Binding Freedom insert makes them easier to install than other options on the market. I have had especially good results using Look Pivot (aka Rossignol FKS), G3 Zed, and Plum Guide bindings with these inserts (all classic-style tech bindings really), due to the easy access to the mountain screws on those bindings.

    Money saver

I have installed these inserts in 22 pairs of skis to date. Several pairs are set up for two different bindings, allowing the user a choice between touring and in-bounds gear, as well as taking the wear and tear off of the lightweight gear when skiing the lift. These are truly a useful product, and the Binding Freedom/SVST folks are always helpful when I have questions.

    No Brainer

The easy way to have a quiver of skis without a lot of binders. You can travel easier with unmounted skis an can double up boards in a single ski bag. I have most of my skis with inserts so I can convert from Voile Switchback to Dynafit TLT anytime I want. It's a no brainer dude!

    Killer idea, manufacturing, and support

Posted by Nick on 10th Mar 2015

I've used several different insert concepts for swapping ski bindings, but these are by far the best product out there. The insert manufacturing is top notch and the cross cut top groove really helps during installation. Binding Freedom also has quality mounting information and also is the only source to find screw lengths for all binding types.
